Philip EARLEY

Phil joined the team late summer 2024. At the time he was already in superb condition having competed on and off the past 12 months, all of which he coached himself for and done incredibly well.

Having a great deal of experience within the fitness sector I was grateful he decided to sign up and his words on our initial consult were: “I’m sick of placing 2nd, I want to win.”

As a natural athlete he had been competing in untested federations, often against assisted competitors and was simply getting outsized. However looking back at his previous stage shots he was always the most conditioned on stage but was often a touch on the flat side. After talking through how we had previously peaked for shows I knew this was an area I could help with which would transform the look on show day and get him that win.

Four weeks into coaching I suggested he jumped in an early show than we had originally planned, UKUP Northern Championships. I got him eating a large amount of food into the show and on show day! Where he would previously be scared to eat on show he was now eating regularly and the right amounts! It brought a tremendous package as his physique got better with every meal, bringing a hard, dry and full look to the stage.

The result? He won his class! 6 weeks later he went on to win the BPA British Finals Masters 50+.

Across his season Phil collected:

3 x 1st
1 x 2nd

Here is what Phil had to say about his journey:

“I have been a full time fitness professional for over 20 years, which has seen me train in varied fields in the US, Hungary, Italy as well as throughout the UK under world leading coaches. My work has seen me fortunate to work alongside top medical professionals & physiotherapists. I also ran my own training studios for 10 years & later on an education centre for personal training qualifications. I had already trained a few ladies to compete including an IFBB Pro internationally.

At the age of 57 I decided I wanted to try compete myself in Masters Men’s Physique & started in August 2023. Initially I did everything myself & achieved two 2nd places in British qualifiers with UKBFF & BPA in Over 40s Masters Men’s Physique. I then placed 6th & 3rd in those federations British finals in October 2023. Between April & May 2924 I competed in three Masters Physiques placing 2nd in all & this was extremely frustrating as did feel I could have won them. I had to find an edge!

I had been aware of Vaughan for a while via social media but I then witnessed him in action in a competition in Dundee. I could see his passion & commitment to his clients. This to me is a non negotiable. I took my time as is my way to research a little more & really enjoyed Vaughans podcasts ‘Give it the Beanz.’ Very informative, very honest & it impressed me.

As a lifetime natural athlete only competing in untested competitions so far, I realised I needed some expert guidance on the nutrition side of comp prep. The appeal of ‘eyes on’ check ins from the off was huge but even more on show day. After an initial chat Vaughan impressed further & the decision was easy. When asked what my goal(s) were I simply said “I’m sick of placing 2nd, I want to win.”

So in Mission Impossible fashion “Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to get me a win!” No hesitation on Vaughan’s part & 6 weeks later, boom my first competition win at UK Ultimate Physiques Northern Championship in Over 50s Men’s Physique!

Vaughan’s service is incredibly professional & yet still very personable. He seems to be available anytime for all his clients. I had always travelled to support my own clients even internationally, so seeing how he did the same really resonated.

Having now had the opportunity to go to a comp with him & witness his hands on skills I can only commend him. I’ve only met him this once in person so far - only began working with him online 6 weeks ago & feel I like I could have known him for years.

To surmise he is Professional, Personable & Client & Goal Focused. Highly recommended.”
