Jill originally came one board at a time where I did 1-1 coaching. We worked together for a while, ensuring her form and execution were perfect across the board. After a while she felt confident enough to go online so took the leap. At the start of her journey I knew she admired those physique of competitors and athletes but didn’t have much of a strong passion to compete herself.
We therefore discussed the idea of a photoshoot, something that got her excited. I think at the start of her journey if you told her she would not only complete it but absolutely smash it she wouldn’t have believed you. This was mainly down to her lack of self belief in what she thought she could/couldn’t achieve. Over the time we worked together I not only saw Jill’s physique transform but also her belief in what she knew she was capable of.
That self belief allowed her to overcome the challenges of the first lockdown in 2020, where her shoot was cancelled 3 weeks prior, and then the 2nd lockdown which saw her prep from home, training from her garage. She trained from home for the most part of the prep for her final photoshoot and it showed a clear example that if you want something bad enough, you’ll find a way, and that she did.
Here is what Jill had to say about her journey:
“I had always enjoyed going to the gym and training, but after not getting the results I wanted I contacted Vaughan. Vaughan provided the structure and discipline I needed with his expertise and specific training plan and diet. With the structure provided the results became apparent.
After 3 years of coaching with Vaughan I finally managed to complete my goal of a fitness photoshoot with TT Image in April 2021. This was the hardest thing I have ever done physically but more so mentally, but the rewards were so much greater. To see how you can transform your body is amazing and I finally got some abs! I am very proud of myself for this achievement but I could not have done it without Vaughan. He was so supportive all the way through my journey with the ups and downs.
With all of the knowledge I have received in the 3 years I have worked with Vaughan my life has changed for the better. I now train not because I have to, but because I want to.”
